Union Road members were dispatched this morning at approximately 0640 to assist Station 55 with a reported fully involved abandon trailer fire. 5100 arrived on the scene and reported a single wide mobile home that was fully involved upon arrival.

A one-story home off South Union Road in Gastonia caught fire on Wednesday morning and a fire official calls it “pretty much a total loss.” Firefighters responded to the home at 128 Owens Lane at 10:13 a.m.

Station 51 assisted Station 55 on a two car mva on 321 at Robinson rd. today. A pick up truck slammed into the side of a tractor trailer. The passenger of the pick up was pinned by his legs. Both stations worked to free the passenger.

Two different serious accidents kept us busy on Saturday. The first one was a head on collision at Meek Road and Patrick Road intersection. 4 Pt's total. The next one was on Union Rd between Forestbrook and Wren Rd.

At 1256 hrs Station 51 was dispatched for mutual aid with Station 55 for a possible building fire. 5101 arrived on scene and reported a large residential structure fully involved. The structure had mostly burned to the ground.

At approx. 1030 on the morning of July 26th 2010 units were dispatched to Hemphill Rd. cross street of Safeway drive for a reported structure fire. Tanker 513 was first on scene and reported a one story single family residence with heavy smoke and flames showing from the B,C corner.

At 1137 hours Station's 51,55, and 50 were dispatched to Lauren Ct. for a possible structure fire. Capt. Ingram arrived on scene and advised structure was heavily invloved. L-51 arrived and lines stretched to the interior.

In the early hours of Feb. 17th stations 55, 51 and Gastonia FD were dispatched to a residential fire on Bush St. Car 55 arrived on scene and reported heavy smoke and flames visible. E-5 from GFD was first due and on scene personel strectched lines and went to work.

At 1728 hours Station 51 was dispatched to a possible structure fire. 5100 arrived on scene and advised structure was fully involved. Due to the fact this was an abandoned structure a defensive attack was made using a 2 1/2" and one 1 3/4" line.

Station 51 was alerted to a possible mva in the 6100 block of Union Road early this afternoon. L-51 arrived on scene to find two vehicles involved with heavy damage. One victim is a current board member of Station 51.

Station 51, 50, and 55 was dispatched to 4950 Bud Wilson Road for a residential fire. L-51 arrived and found a single story residential structure with a basement with heavy fire visible. Crews stretched several attack lines to the interior to control the fire.

Just before midnight Sta. 51 was dispatched to a residential fire in Crowders Mountain Fire's district. Initial information was a possible victim in the residence. First in crews reported a single story residence fully involved.

Station 51 provided mutual aid to Gastonia FD after a reported plane crash at the airport. E-7 arrived and adivsed a small twin engine commuter plane was off the end of the runway. There were no injuries and damage to the aircraft was minor.
